Yara (Butterfly Luv) and Anayah (Butterfly Hug Bug) Shakoor are sisters that also are best friends. They are ages 11 and 9, respectively.

3 years ago, they came to their parents requesting to start a YouTube channel and social media page to raise awareness on self-care and girl empowerment. From here Butterfly Leaders was birthed. They believe that butterflies perfectly represent a beautiful transformation that they hope for every young girl in the world to experience. They started off with cooking videos for kids and transitioned into yoga & meditation videos. Much of their influence comes from their family.

 

Yara and Anayah are both honor students, charitable and active in various clubs and sports. Yara is an avid reader and an extremely talented writer. Anayah loves STEM and anything robotics. These young ladies both are dedicated athletes and their favorite activity is anything related to family/cousin fun time.
